Initial Oral Examination
Your first appointment with us allows sufficient time to determine your dental and oral needs. We will complete a thorough examination including teeth and gums, take the necessary radiographs (x-rays), and make preliminary diagnosis and treatment recommendations. It is helpful to us to know your desires so an appropriate therapy plan can be developed.
Lightening the color of your teeth is easy and safe. The method we use in our office is quite effective and requires little in-office time. In addition, periodic touch-ups are possible to treat that natural darkening that can occur with minimal expense.
You can have a new smile with all-porcelain non-metallic crowns. They are designed to make broken or worn teeth to look and function like new.
In just 2 or 3 dental appointments, veneers (special thin porcelain laminates) can correct discolored, worn down, cracked and chipped teeth.
Almost all of the fillings we place in our office match your natural tooth color and contain no silver or mercury. For children, we also have fun colored fillings.
Periodontal (Gum) Care
The health of your gums is importmant to the stability and life expectancy of your teeth as well as to your general health. Diseased gums can release chemicals that can lead to the breakdown of blood vessels. We can provide care to help minimize gum infection and inflammation.
We can offer no better tooth replacement than dental implants. They are as close to having teeth as it is possible today. Made out of titanium and firmly anchored in your own bone, you can eat and chew with the comfort and confidence of a natural tooth.
Both full and partial tooth replacements can result in improved eating ability, more comfort and an improved appearance. Dentures do ear during use and supporting bone changes over time, making periodic replacement of any prosthesis necessary.
We feel that a positive dental care experience is essential to developing good dental habits for a life time. Children are treat with respect and true concern in our office; parents are always welcome to be with their children during care. We never use restraining devices.
TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint) & "Achey Jaw" Care
We can provide therapy for the aches and discomfort you may experience when you chew or work or even sleep. Grinding and clenching can cause pain in the TM joint near your ear and soreness in the muscles that open and close your mouth. Care can include appliances to minimize stress on the teeth and joint and therapy to control discomfort.
Root Canal Care
Infections caused by tooth pulp (nerve) disease can be very distressing. We perform most pulp therapy in our office, with the greatest concern to your comfort. When unusual circumstances demand appropriate specialists are made. It is important to remember that the tooth may need a crown or large permanent filling after the therapy is complete.
We perform many routine oral surgical procedures in our office. When necessary, a referral to an Oral Surgeon may be made.
Custom-made Athletic Guards
Whether you are an athlete or a casual sports participant, wearing a mouth guard can help protect your teeth from a traumatic injury. Performance can also be enhanced by proper jaw-tooth positioning. Most guards last about one sport season depending on the use of it.
The deep grooves in teeth are susceptible to decay in children. To aid in preventing this kind of dental caries, the tops of the teeth can be sealed with a tooth colored filling
